So who are blondesbooknook?
Hi! We’re Alice and Laura, two twenty-something besties who are obsessed with everything bookish.
Welcome to our corner of the literary world, where pages come alive and stories ignite your imagination.
We started making the bookish things that we wanted to fill our bookshelves with and now we’re sharing them with the best community we’ve ever been a part of.
We met almost 10 years ago whilst working at a pub, one of us having just finished a degree in Biology, and the other in the midst of her Sociology degree. Obviously we became fast friends, swapping book recommendations in no time, and realising we’d finally found someone else with a TBR as big as our own.

Meet Alice
Co-Founder of The Blondes Booknook | Bookworm-in-Chief | Fantasy Fangirl
Hi, I'm Alice,
Co-Founder of The Blondes Booknook, Cat Co-Parent, chronic over-thinker, morally grey character enthusiast, and proud book hoarder.
My love affair with books began one unforgettable Christmas morning, when my parents gifted me the first three Twilight books. They were thrilled to see my excitement.. though probably less thrilled when I tore through book one in days and insisted we visit six bookstores on the release day for Breaking Dawn (because tween me had no idea what a pre-order was).
Since then, my obsession with forbidden fanged romances has evolved into a deep love for everything from fae, dragons, Shadow daddies and ‘Fuck It’. I read books, buy even more of them (which is a hobby in itself, let’s be honest), and collect an unnecessary but deeply loved amount of bookish trinkets.
While I occasionally wander into thrillers or romance, my heart lives in fantasy (okay, romantasy) and reading has always been my favourite escape, and I’m so excited to share that love with you.
Meet Laura
Co-Founder of The Blondes Booknook | The Original Smut Slut | Queen of Chaos
Hi, I’m Laura,
Co-Founder of the Blondes Booknook, Cat PARENT (yes he’s mine), the epitome of chaos, and a shameless smut slut.
I feel I’ve been a reader my whole life, I remember when I was about 5, my dad would walk me down to the local library, where I would max out the amount of books to borrow, and then be begging my dad to do it all over again the following week.
Now, as an adult, I’m responsible for sourcing my own books, and my physical TBR is definitely suffering from the book addiction. It doesn’t help I accidentally buy multiple copies of the same book, but different covers = different books to admire.
Whilst I love to read all book, I have to admit my favourite genres are fantasy, romance, thrillers, and Greek mythology (yes I’m looking at you Song of Achilles). I have loved being apart of the bookish community these last few years, so I can’t wait to share this next part of us with you, I hope you love it as much as we do.
