Hi all,

As if you don’t hear from us enough, we thought we’d do a monthly newsletter…lucky you! We just wanted a platform to go into more detail about our reading, any new product launches, big book launches upcoming, questions for you all, fun things like that!

So what’s new? Quite a lot, as this is our first newsletter, we’ve done a lot of business. We’ve uploaded some freebies to our website, if you were curious, go and check them out! We’ve got a variety of bookish bingo downloads, some gift guides for the book lovers in your life (or yourselves) and more!

Podcast Highlight

If you haven’t listened to our latest podcast, where have you been? Only joking! The link is here. We’ve absolutely loved doing the podcast, and every episode we say ‘this was our favourite one yet’ and yet, somehow, we manage to top it every time (in our minds).

This week we’ve discussed 1 star book reviews, our favourite ones posted onto Goodreads, and the other has to guess which book they’re talking about, just from the review alone. It was very amusing, and quite shocking actually seeing what other people think of some of our favourite reads!

Monthly Reading Club

So, what ARE blondesbooknook reading at the moment? And what would we recommend?

Alice has FINALLY finished Brimstone, I don‘t know if any of you have read it, but you’ll know it’s a real slog to get through, and so well done Alice for finishing that! She’s currently desperately trying to read and finish Carrie before tomorrow, it’s her first Stephen King so I’m curious to see how she’s found it. I’m currently reading The Lunatics, which is written by the same person who wrote Lights Out. I’m actually really enjoying it so far! Although in October I’ll be starting Raven Kennedy’s new book, and the only thing I know about it is…sexy Pied Piper, sign me up.

Also, you may have already seen on our socials, but we’ve launched a virtual bookclub, where we’ll be choosing one book a month to read (it is going to be optional don’t worry!). There will also be channels to chat, make new friends, come up with amazing book theories and more. It’s going to be hosted on a WhatsApp community. If this is something you’re interested in, click the link here and you can come and join us! We don’t technically launch this till tomorrow, but we love you all, so you’re welcome to join in the fun early.

Upcoming Releases

If you don’t know already, we do have a dedicated Book Release tracker (you can keep your eye on it here), but the books we’re most excited about is the newest instalment in the Ninth House series (order the hardback) called Dead Beat. If you haven’t read any of the Ninth House series, please do, it’s so good! It follows a main character called Alex Stern, set in a dark academia vibe. Perfect for the upcoming season change.

We also know Rebecca Yarros has a new book called ‘Threshing Day’ (pre-order the hardback) which has come out in September. I’ll be entirely honest and say I am not particularly excited by this release, as it seems very expensive for a series of short-stories, but that’s just me!!! Bring back the series pls Rebecca.

Ali Hazelwood is such a fan favourite, and I’m always excited by her new releases, she has one coming in October called Bound and Unbound (pre-order here), and I have recently been really enjoying her dabbling her toe in the paranormal world. AND finally, Ali has also done us a solid and announced she’s releasing a sequel to The Love Hypothesis, The Two Body Problem (pre-order here). I am SO excited for this, curious to see where Olive & Adam go!
